Vectors

Two days passed without many happening classes. Then I got fever. A severe one and I had to take rest for a week. Out of college for a week and spent time with my parents. Didn't feel like leaving them. But I had to. Back to college after a week. Missed many classes and that one week surely cost something. I was in the physics class that day. And our lecturer was prasad. We called him PP or potti prasad. I took two days to understand his lingo. A perfect coastal Andhra type. Stretched every word so long that it seemed to me as if it had lost its meaning. But he liked it. After acquainting myself with his lingo I started to concentrate on the lessons.. oops.. what is going on in the class?? I couldn’t figure out exactly. The topic was vectors. The only thing I knew about vectors then, was that vectors have direction. And I knew nothing else. But something more was happening in the class. Shortest route , shortest time, river boat problems, and many many things. The next day I got the assignment given by Mr. Ajit Agarwal. Huh what should I say guys. In it were problems on aircrafts and the directions in which missiles were to be released and even problems dealing with rugby about passing the ball in some direction so that the opponent could not touch it. And many things of that sort. I know you would think that questions are very interesting and anyone would try them. Even I tried. Questions were interesting but answers weren’t. For every question we need to work out at least 5 to 6 steps all entirely new and it is no easy to solve them on your own. We used to take the help of other lecturers though not Mr. Ajit , even the other lecturers found them tough. There was a rumour that ajit can give us any assignment with in an hour. And many said that he just downloads the questions from a physics website into his cell phone and directly connects it to a printer. I too believed them , because the questions were so lengthy and no man could ever set that sort of assignment in a day or two. Anyway I dint have much to do with those questions because I never got them right. So I stopped trying to answer them..
